A Sears associate-turned-Army sergeant reports in the Sears News-Graphic that one of the first things he saw in The Philippines was a toolbox with Craftsman hammers, saws and hatchets, left from a previous Allied landing.
 1947
Craftsman razor blades debut and mark a rare failure in the Craftsman line. The razor's publicity campaign fails when razor blades sent to store managers arrive rusty due to faulty preservatives.
 1948
The fall catalog introduces Craftsman lawn and garden equipment, with the new rotary power mower.
