Sears introduces a Craftsman adjustable wrench made of vanadium steel that is 50 percent thinner, yet 20 percent stronger than previous models.

Craftsman power tools help build the world's largest adobe building, the Rocky Mountain offices of the U.S. Forestry Service. Chief Forestry Engineer George H. Vail says Craftsman tools will become a permanent part of the Service's shop equipment.
