Q. At a garage sale last year, I bought a Movieland Drive-In Theatre toy. Its not in very good shape, but I love the idea that you could show “real” movies on a toy. Did Sears ever sell this? It looks like a toy from the 1950s.

A. Sears did sell the toy you describe. We found the “Movieland” Drive-In on page 430 of the 1959 holiday catalog. According to the catalog description, it came with six cars and six filmstrips. It sold originally for $4.99.
