Q. The first gun I ever got was a hand-me-down from my father. It was a J.C. Higgins Model 20 shotgun. It was a pump-action 12-gauge. Can you tell me who manufactured it and how old it may be?
A. We found the gun you described on page 1026 of the spring 1953 Chicago edition catalog. It was offered in either standard or deluxe models, the latter of which included choke control. They sold for $61.50 and $73.65, respectively.
