Q. I am looking for any information on a Sears aftermarket automotive air-conditioning unit, model no. 1076 205 S-891 5713, from a 1964-65 Buick Skylark. I am looking for installation instructions, parts listings, diagrams, or literature.

A. We researched the Sears catalogs, which are our best resource for information about old products, and were not able to find an advertisement for the air-conditioning unit you describe. We can tell you that Sears did not begin selling aftermarket A/C units through the catalog until the spring 1968 issue. The Sears Archives does not have merchandise manuals, lists, or diagrams available. Your best source for that information is Sears Parts Direct.
