Q. I have what I believe is one of the first televisions with a wireless remote control. The TV has a 23-inch screen, is encased in a wood cabinet, and has wood-and-metal legs. The remote has the words "Silvertone Selectra" on it. Could you please tell me when Sears sold this television and where I might go for repairs and replacement parts?

A. This television was listed on page 1225 of the fall 1961 Chicago edition catalog. According to the description, the remote worked up to 40 feet away. Unfortunately, the Sears Archives does not have replacement parts or repair information.  We suggest you contact Sears Parts Direct.
