Kenmore adds the Done-Time feature to washing machines, which allows the user to set a time for the wash to finish.

Kenmore ranges are sold with the new Euro-Design, a flush design giving a more built-in look. The sleek cook top gives the range a low-profile look.

Kenmore Super Efficient Refrigerator Program (SERP) refrigerators become available, exceeding federal energy standards by 29 percent.

Almost 25 percent of the major appliances sold in the United States are Kenmore goods, and there's already a Kenmore product in nearly 60 percent of U.S. households.

The Kenmore Elite line is introduced featuring large kitchen appliances with enhanced performance and modern styling. Within two years, the line generates more than $500 million in sales.

Kenmore is America’s number-one selling brand of appliances, with a market share 50 percent higher than its closest competitor. Half of America’s homes has a Kenmore.
